PADI Scuba Diving Certification in Costa Rica

At ConnectOcean, we offer internationally recognized PADI scuba diving certifications in the stunning Pacific waters of Costa Rica. Whether you're brand new to diving or ready to advance your skills, our courses combine professional instruction, hands-on ocean experience, and a deep focus on marine conservation.

All training takes place in small groups (maximum 4 divers per instructor) and includes full equipment, pool sessions, and open water dives around the breathtaking Catalina Islands—one of Costa Rica’s top dive destinations.

Short on time but eager to start diving? The PADI Scuba Diver course is the perfect entry point, covering roughly half of the Open Water Diver curriculum. Upon completion, you’ll be certified to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional anywhere in the world—and you can upgrade to full Open Water certification anytime.

Duration: 2–3 days

Minimum Age: 10+

Includes: Pool training, open water dives, gear rental, refreshments, and all processing fees

Each course is limited to a maximum of 4 students per instructor, ensuring personalized attention and a safe, supportive learning environment.

The theory portion is completed online through a computer-based eLearning program, allowing you to study at your own pace before arriving.

All ocean dives depart from Marina Flamingo, with complimentary transportation provided for groups of up to 4 participants.

Theory for this course is completed online through a convenient, self-paced computer-based eLearning program. All dive trips are conducted via private charter, offering a more personalized and exclusive experience.

You'll receive one-on-one instruction with a dedicated, bilingual PADI professional to ensure focused guidance and support throughout your training.
